Morgan played a female character as a woman in the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film went towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising initiatives and gave a testimony to a special Congressional panel about AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop's previous assistant surgeon general asked occasionally to be his substitute during AIDS awareness events. Additionally, she was the host of an AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS during Nightline. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys to be a part of Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring with Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC television. The summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The movie was created Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also featured Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. The next time she appeared, Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady along with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller made exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the network's history.
